Dr. Garner

Jacqueline Y. Garner, DDS-Better known as Jackie, is no stranger to hard work and having compassion for and helping others. Dr. Garner was born in Nashville, TN, and raised in Halifax, VA, by two loving parents. Growing up as the daughter of a 1st grade teacher and minister and general dentist, she had a passion for helping others and a love for science.

Dr. Garner was highly involved in various student organizations, sports, and leadership roles while attending Halifax County High School. She continued her involvement and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Fayetteville State University. The final destination was the University of North Carolina- at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry where she obtained a DDS degree. One of the greatest lessons learned while in dental school, aside from the academic materials taught on a daily basis, was service to others. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Garner has served as a dental associate for 2 years in Raleigh.

Dr. Garner enjoys traveling, listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with her family, friends, and husband, Gregory. Her passion for helping others has continued to grow and she looks forward to taking care of your family's dental needs.

Dr. Mensah

Ralph K. Mensah, DDS-A tarheel through and through!!! Dr. Mensah is from Asheville, North Carolina and graduated from A.C. Reynolds High School. After his time in the Smoky Mountains he traveled east to Chapel Hill to attend the University of North Carolina. He graduated from there with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. After taking a short hiatus from school he wanted another taste of "Blue Heaven" and decided to attend the University of North Carolina-School of Dentistry. To help fill his natural propensity for volunteerism and socialization he found himself very busy participating in different dental societies and organizations such as the Spurgeon Dental Society, American Student Dental Association (ASDA), Student National Dental Association (SNDA); where he served as President, and the Malawi Project.

After completing dental school, Dr. Mensah has worked as an associate in Sanford, North Carolina for two years. Currently, he resides in Durham, North Carolina with his wife Fiona. He is a member of the American Dental Association(ADA), National Dental Association(NDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS), and Old North State Dental Society(ONSDS). During his free time he enjoys spending time with wife, watching movies, playing sports like soccer, racquetball, and snowboarding.

Clinical Team

Ms. Shannon Emerson- Ms. Emerson grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina; and moved to Bonlee, North Carolina two and half years ago. She is a Dental Assistant II who loves helping patients feel as comfortable and as part of our family as possible. She loves working with people and learning new things every day

When Shannon isn't caring for our patients she enjoys spending time with her husband John, and two cats, Gus Gus and Artemis. She also enjoys riding her horse Classy, reading, and traveling to new places

Administrative Team

Ms. Shantina Alston-Ms. Alston is a native of Hillsborough, a graduate of Orange High School, and attended Alamance Community College in Burlington, North Carolina with a focus on Medical Office Administration. She brings to Integrative Family Dentistry over 10 years front desk experience in the dental field, specializing in insurance.

She is the proud mother of son Cheallen, and Yorkshire Terrier "Gucci". As the Front Desk Coordinator she enjoys serving the needs of all our patients here at Integrative Family Dentistry.
